Teresa with "Roo"

Ian worked with us and our energetic and nervous lurcher-type dog, Roo, on a weekly basis for about six months.  After gaining Roo's trust, Ian was able to start working his magic and we could see a positive change in Roo's behaviour after the first meeting.  Ian has demonstrated that theory alone may not be enough to improve a dog and will adapt training methods to help the specific dog understand what is required.

Later training sessions involved Ian's own dogs as a further training-aid he can call on.  Firmness, thoughtfulness and a total dedication to improving canine behaviour is demonstrated at all times and Ian is very determined that dog owners learn and understand more about their own dog and how dogs think.

Sally with "Bella"

How I got to know of Ian was by seeing his work in action: whilst out walking my, at the time, 4 month old Lab Bella I saw a pup performing brilliant, recall, sits, downs and then on a leaded part of the walk the pup heeled fabulously, I had to ask. The couple told me that they had bought the puppy trained from Ian, I was astonished, didn't know that service was available at all, anywhere. I took his details and called.

We arranged an appointment and Ian visited my home. I and my husband found him to be professional, knowledgable and very passionate about what he does.

Ian very quickly got Bella's attention and then, with a smile, told us all the mistakes we were making. He quickly taught Bella a few commands which had me hooked. I wanted Bella as good as the pup I had seen.

We arranged a training program; two sessions a week for six weeks. Over this period of time Ian took Bella from naughty puppy to walking off lead on Poole High St., 'staying' without being tied to anything whilst we went in the bank and behaving perfectly when we went in to a cafe.

Bella loves Ian and since the training has finished he is also the only person I have let look after Bella when I had to go away for a few nights. Thank you Ian.

Sally & Mark with "Ozzie"

"6 months ago I was having problems with my one year old Weimaraner (Ozzie), I had waited 28 years for a dog and I wasn't going to let his bad behaviour spoil my dream, so a friend recommended I contacted Ian Daly. After an initial phone consultation with Ian, where we discussed the main problem, he then came to my house and assessed me and Ozzie in the environment he lives in. We then put together a training programme and met up once a week, but Ian was only a phone call away if I had any questions or problems. We have seen a great improvement in Ozzie's behaviour and are really grateful for all of Ian's knowledge and advice.

I have recommended Ian to many other dog owners who have commented to me the improvement in Ozzie's behaviour, since starting my sessions with Ian. Ian's training methods are firm and consistent, which I believe is vital when training a dog."
